First of all, welcome to my blog! This blog is my way of sharing my discoveries as I work towards creating a nutrition plan where I can eat what I want (or modifications of what I want) and still manage to lose weight and feel full.
Nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is getting more and more difficult in modern society. We sit more, eat more, and exercise less than we should. But all of that is well known and documented. What I am going to focus on in this blog is sharing healthy recipes and tips with one thing in mind:
SUSTAINABLE NUTRITION
Diets and bootcamps only go so far – and if you’re like me, you’ve done it all – all the diets, bootcamps, cleanses. It is part of the “dieting culture” to try it all and see what sticks. The catch is – none of it does. At least not forever.
What sticks, and what really makes the difference in overall health in my opinion is making sustainable and lasting change.
How do you make sustainable and lasting change? You change your habits and your appetite – but you MUST make sure you’re enjoying it! That is key.
So this is where to start – Enjoyable, Nutritious, Comfort Food! The kind of recipes the you WANT to make again and again, that give you pleasure and satisfaction, without the guilt.
Some recipes will be vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and some not. The key to recreating your favourite dishes is substitution – so if you don’t like something I substitute, try something else. The only real rule here is to HAVE FUN!
